    Sarasota-Charlotte Democratic Progressive Caucus Board

    DeeAnna Dowdle President

    Joined the Progressive Caucus in 2015. Became Vice-President in 2018 and President in 2020. Worked for Bernie Sanders for President in 2016 and 2020, for Andrew Gillum for Governor, Jen-Ahearn-Koch for City Commission, and Margaret Good for State House in 2018, as well as the successful passage of "Single Member District". DeeAnna recently worked to maintain SMD.

  • In 2015 the Sarasota-Charlotte Progressive Caucus was established during a groundswell of progressivism when Bernie Sanders announced his run for President.
