Dan Clermont (Sarasota City Commission, Endorsed Candidate)
Dan Clermont has earned the recommendation of Progressive Sarasota, Sarasota-Charlotte Progressive Caucus of the Democratic Party, and the Democratic Party for non-partisan District 3 City Commission Race.
From Wisconsin, Dan and his wife permanently moved to the area in 2010. He began his citizen participation by assisting Arlington Park Neighborhood informational map distribution.
Dan’s been campaigning and meeting voters in District 3 since July 2019. Wearing his mask, he’s knocked on 2100 homes, listening to everyone’s concerns and dreams. Dan wants to add his expertise to the City Commission to build accountability in government for everyone. Dan understands how the roots of Sarasota’s unique economy are intertwined: Neighborhood Infrastructure, Arts & Culture, and the Environment.
Because Dan’s worked hard and listened well, he’s received support from more than 150 individuals, including: family, neighbors, friends, restaurateurs, past City Commissioners, non-profit Board members, environmentalists, and others. He has no PAC funding.
Dan will strive to reach consensus for the public good, supporting the majority of neighbors, over the voices of the few. Dan’s intelligent, he listens, and he learns. He’s running to bring vitality and fairness to our City.
The Sarasota-Charlotte Progressive Caucus of Democratic Party recommends voting for Dan Clermont.
